Why the site?
Location, location, location.
This is a mantra of those in the real estate world. Which houses sell? The ones with the best location. Which houses don't get mountains of offers? The ones with more questionable surroundings. In real estate, if you've got a great location, you've got a leg up on the rest of the field.
For me it's not location, location, location, but COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION. What do I mean? I want you to know about what's new in our classes and feel connected to what your student is learning. I want you to feel like you are part of your student's educational journey, and for you to be able to share in the journey. That is why I have decided to make a website. It is also why I have named it "Around the World in 180 Days." During our time together (roughly 180 days) we will be traveling through time to days long past. We will travel around the globe to visit civilizations on far away continents. We will discover a whole new world through the study of another language and different customs. This website provides a way for me to communicate all these things with you and for you to communicate with me, too.
Each class has its own separate page. There you can find a brief summary of our current areas of study, as well as links for further learning. The art page will provide a place for you to see projects completed by students.
Join us this year on our journey Around the World in 180 Days!
